I have one of these. The tween boy is getting a little harder to shop for as he transitions out of toys. We are an active family and I love to give gifts that can be used outside, or that will challenge them.
Check out my gift guide for Tween Boys:
-
Hammock. Find a tree or a post and you’re relaxing in minutes. Have you heard of hammocking: According to www.criticalcactus.com “Hammocking is a social affair. the more ‘mockers, the merrier. For the first time, hanging out is taken completely literally. Relaxing together, enjoying each other’s company while swinging is made possible because of the availability of lightweight (nylon) hammocks.” Check out this picture from www.criticalcactus.com:

Bigtruck hat. I’ve included these in a few gift guides for good reason. Everyone in my family loves these hats. We get compliments every time we wear them. These are beast, dude.
-
American Provenance Natural Mens Deodorant, Fastballs & Fisticuffs. Yes, our boys are getting stinkier. This is more of a need than a want. It makes a great stocking stuffer. They have cool names for the different scents and are good for you, of course.
-
Kano computer kit. This is high on my son’s list. With this kit, you make your own computer and learn to code. It’s won a lot of awards.
-
Wonder and The Spy School Collection. I love giving books and my son has really started to enjoy reading since finding some books that he’s loved. Wonder is one of them. My whole family has enjoyed reading this one. We are just listening to Auggie and Me, from the same author, on our road trip. Wonder just came out as a movie, so that’s a fun treat after they’ve read the book. My son hasn’t read the Spy School books yet, but they’re on his list.
-
3D printing pen. This is high on both my boys’ lists this year.
-
Yulu Spy Code Escape Room Game. In this game, you solve puzzles, get the key, and escape the room. I love games that challenge their brains.
-
Slackers Ninjaline. This kit includes 7 obstacles. Put it between two trees or posts and your little ninjas will be busy for hours.
-
Collapsible Portable Corn Hole. This is a fun game for the whole family. This set is portable so you can bring it to the cabin, to the park, or inside on a rainy day.
Of course, electronics and gift cards are always welcome at this age, but I hope this gives you some ideas of active and challenging gifts for your tween boy.
