DIY Massage Candle
Author: Rebecca LeVander
  • 2.5 ounces soy wax flakes
  • .5 ounce cocoa butter
  • 1 T. almond oil
  • 1 T. coconut oil
  • 15 drops lavender essential oil or oil of choice
  • 15 drops cedarwood essential oil
  1. Use a double boiler. Or put a pot of water to boil, once boiling turn it down to simmer, then set a bowl on top of that pot. Put the soy wax flakes, cocoa butter, and coconut oil in the bowl and stir until melted.
  2. Once it's melted remove the bowl from the pot and add in the almond oil and essential oils and stir to mix.
  3. While the wax is melting, put the wick in your jar. Secure it to the bottom of the jar with glue, a little wax, or a bit of super glue. (This worked the best for us.)
  4. Pour the melted liquid into the jar.
  5. Make sure the wick is straight up by propping it with a clothespin or pencils or chopsticks.
  6. Let the candle harden completely before use.
Recipe Notes

I used a small food scale to measure the wax.
